[redacted] requested that we make all the effort to obtain the resignation notes when we deal with voluntary resignations.

I shared that we don’t always get that, even though [pemberliegh] always follows up on that at least once. I asked if keeping a copy of our request would suffice and she said no. [redacted] is asking to try to contact manager again. I guess at the second time around we want to CC Director.

Also, if note is not available, that would be acceptable as long as via email PD confirms that employee did give sufficient notice. The main concern is to have history of proof why employee is eligible for rehire.

Such email can be placed in TAR packet in place of the resignation notice.

Thank you,
Boss (aka Master of Russia – or at least, that is what I made her Siri call her… siri’ed)

If there is not a note, then that means it was a verbal resignation. Sometimes with 2-weeks; sometimes not. I will try to get the PD to verify for the personnel record a verbal time frame for voluntary terms that do not have a written resignation.

Thanks,

Great!

I understand it will not always be possible to get that, but just making an effort. This way we can say that HR has a practice to contact PD twice.

Of course, NCO is under assumption that if HR requests something we always get it back…. NOT
